Welcome to the Arabia Steamboat Museum. During your visit you will hear the legendary tale of the loss and discovery of the Steamboat Arabia and its 200 tons of cargo. This amazing story has been featured by National Geographic Traveler, Smithsonian Magazine, Antiques Roadshow, Good Morning America, Southern Living, CNN, the History Channel, and many other news and entertainment organizations.
Your visit will include a guided tour of the Arabia’s amazing collection. Along the way, you will view a short film presentation about the life and rediscovery of the Steamboat Arabia. Our preservation lab is often open for you to learn how the many tons of artifacts are cleaned and prepared for display. You will pass beside the Arabia’s engines and boilers located on its 171 foot-long replicated wood-plank deck.
The museum also includes a gift shop and a food service area. Shop for gifts unique to the Arabia Steamboat Museum or memorabilia of your visit to Kansas City, Missouri.
